`83 Trans Am
Yes, an `83 Trans Am...no laughing :P
This was a really quick build (again). Sorry I dont have more pics. My camera is really bad at capturing light colored cars fro some reason. This was the kit that started it all for me, almost 30 years ago. It was fun to build, and brought back lots of memories... ![]()

Re: `83 Trans Am
I am not a big fan of this car but your model looks really clean and the white is a good color choice.

Re: `83 Trans Am
Nice build. Is this a Monogram kit? I think I made one about 25 years ago!

Re: `83 Trans Am
Very nice job! In the first photo, this model actually looks like the real car. May I ask you if you painted it in single stage gloss white or instead you painted it in flat white with a gloss layer of clear coat on top?

Re: `83 Trans Am
Thanks everyone. Yes, this is the old Monogram kit.
I used Tamiya Pure White, no clear coat, sanded and polished. It did take about 10 coats for complete coverage, which seems just crazy. It was very translucent. |

Re: `83 Trans Am
Looks great, very clean build and the panel lines look excellent which is very difficult to achieve on a whie car!

Looks real good. Amazing finish.
Reminds me of Knight Industries Two Thousand.
