3.0L Upgrades
I have the 3.0L Duratec, has anyone tried the short ram intake from Duratecperformance.com?
Also, would parts for the 3.0L SHO engine, transfer over to the Duratec, and would parts for the ranger 3.0L transfer over to the tec as well?? :jumpie:

The 3.0 Duratec and the SHO engine are two different animals.....and I think some people have use Ranger stuff on their Taurus but had to mod the parts.

Re: 3.0L Upgrades
The Vulcan is a plenty capable motor imo, it just hasn't really been tested yet. Original plans were for Ford to use the Vulcan block for the SHO 3.0 motor, but supposedly the webbings cracked at high rpm's, and Yamaha went with it's own design. The only SHO/Duratec parts you can swap would be the Duratec 2.5 and the SHO's 3.4 V-8. Even then there's no real point, most of the SHO's V-8 magic comes from the Yamaha heads which are unique to the 3.4.

Re: 3.0L Upgrades
you can build your own intake thats just as good as the duratecperformance one for only $40, but if you wanna buy the duratecperformance one, you'll probably still be happy with it.
