If you mean you're going to get a 240 only for drag racing on the street then i wouldn't suggest getting this car because it isn't really a car used for that type of racing.

Get a civic, prelude... Actually just any Honda/Acura... Get a mitsubishi... The Eclipse GST is turboed and rear wheel drive (I believe)... Not really any Nissans are drag-based... Plus they break a lot! 240SX's especially! They break so much I am thinking of getting a civic!

Yeah so get something not nissan.

if you want a drag racing car, stop lying to yourself about imports and just get a 5.0 mustang, like a '91 or something. if you're serious about drag racing and want to make $$ then you need somethin you can make relatively fast for cheap, that = mustang. sorry, i know no one will agree with me b/c i'm toting a domestic but you can't disagree with the logic. BTW, whiteblur, that sileighty pic is nice.

I was gonna say that too, then I realized it would be like telling me to get a Honda or let alone... hang on this'll take me a second to say... a GM...

i would never tell anyone to get a GM unless i felt like confessing some sins the next day. (unless its a Z06). in his case the only car i could haved mentioned was the IROC, :apuke: i hope i don't get band for mentioning it.

ohh, the gs-t is trbo fwd, and the gsx is awd. in the world of DSM's the talon tsi and eclipse gsx are king.

sorry, i hate to tell you but your best bet would not be with the 240SX.

I would recommend getting something cheaper like a civic or an old mustang. then you will have more money for parts.

tell us when you decide something

I suggest a first gen RX-7... They are extremly lightweight, pretty cheap parts, N/A rotaries are RELIABLE, and it would kill a 5.0 with just exhaust and maybe a little street porting... (just full exhaust can add up to 25% horsepower)

first gen rx7 is a good idea, i loved my second gen turbo 2. would you suggest the 85 gsl-se? i know there hard to find but they were the first of the 13b correct? the only thing is that the stang would have more potential for more power and i'd hate to see such a great sports car, like the first gen rx7, regulated to drag racing.

240SX was not built to be a drag racing car. it was built with the track in mind, and is therefore a spectacular handling car. good 240SX drag cars HAVE been made in the past, but they're better suited to track, and there are better drag cars out there.

and just because your bro street races and doesn't get caught doesn't mean that a) you should do it or b) it's not illegal. personally, i hope he DOES get caught, because it's extremely illegal and endangering to other's lives. if you do get caught, i will not have any sympathy for you.
