Need help with my brakes

I have a 2002 ext.cab 4X4 and here is what happened.
I blew my back brake line from a box mid frame to my rear "T", so I replaced the line from the box to the rear "T" and started bleeding the rear brakes. I thought I got all the air out but when I took the truck for a drive this is what happened.
The brakes worked fine till I almost come to a stop and then the ABS kicks in and I damn near run into other cars, so I when back and bleed ALL the brakes starting at RR then LR then RF then LF. Again I took the truck for a drive and again the ABS kicks in just before I stop and I have trouble stopping my truck. Can someone please tell me what I have do wrong cause I have never had this problem before and I have bled many brakes before, is there a trick to this truck.

If the pedal is normal height and feel this does not sound like a bleeding issue, although I have had to use a scanner at times to bleed the abs unit if all the fluid was lost during the brake work. But usally unintended abs activation is caused by a bad wheel speed sensor. The normal issue with those trucks was a bad ft wheel speed sensor or connection or rusted sensor mount points, the right way to check this is with an abs scanner, then you can look at comparative wheel speed inputs just before a full stop.

The thing is, that I didn't have this problem before I blew the line

Or is there away to disconnect the ABS till I can get it fixed cause the brakes seem to work fine, it's just when I'm coming to a stop.

Pull the fuse for the ABS? Not sure if that'll work or not but easy to try.

My brother in law had the same issue... He blew a line and fixed that portion of the line only to deal with ABS kicking in just before coming to complete stops. I drove the truck several times while he saved up for a complete brake job. He drove it that way for well over a year.... and there were close calls!!

You should be able to find the wires that are clipped together and simply disconect them to defeat the speed sensor for the ABS. I'm not an expert but killing the power to those sensors should work and give you regular nonABS brakes... or defeat the ABS all together some how. I'll ask my brother in law if the guy from the repair shop told him of any work arounds.

Talked to the brother in law and he said they talked about pulling the ABS fuse to deafeat it... He never did LOL
