Ferrari 458 Italia

Hi guys, this is UnknownUser aka khngmy from Malaysia. Registered as a member in AF for quite some time ago and finally wanted to start posting my builds here..Here's my latest build, and my first post in AF..

Presenting to all of you, the Ferrari 458 Italia from Revell..Started this build back in March and completed just few days before the Horse vs Bull GB 2012 (Ferrari vs Lamborghini Group Build 2012), a local car modellers' event organized by LHS..total time spent on the car was about 6 months +..almost 1 month after the GB, now only manage to squeeze some time to do some photoshooting of this Prancing Horse..

not the best 458 Italia build found on the net but just wanna share with you guys..

front views:

rear views:

interior shots:

engine and chassis:

some extra stuffs:

carbon ceramic effect PE brakes and carbon fiber side skirting..

This Prancing Horse is basically an OOB build, with some details added to the interior of the car, ie. seat belts, carbon fiber steering wheel, interior trim, PE acceleration & brake pedal, PE paddle shifter and floor mat..Aftermarket accessories used include: Fujimi's 458 Italia side mirrors, HobbyDesign BBS F1 wheels, HobbyDesign Ferrari 458 Italia PE and metal transfers..

Thanks for reading!

Re: Ferrari 458 Italia

Nice build and welcome to the forum. The wires are a little out of scale but everything else is topnotch. The revell kits are starting to get better in quality.

Re: Ferrari 458 Italia

Excellent work.
I would love to see some more pictures at a lower angle of the exterior.
Interior looks great!

Wow, that looks great!
Nice touch on the wheels, that really changes the look of this model.
Super clean stuff.

Can't wait to see more from you.

Re: Ferrari 458 Italia

Thanks MidMazar, yea the wires are a bit out of scale but that's the only thing i have at the moment, any suggestion where to get better replacement?

Thanks mn80228, I'll try to capture more photos when i get a good photobooth..by the way, what do you mean by lower angle of the exterior?

Thanks andybmw7272, I've been following your California build too, great job dude! Yup, i like the BBS F1 wheels better..the original wheels are less aggressive to be fitted on such an awesome car..

Re: Ferrari 458 Italia

What I meant was try to take the pictures at a lower angle to the car.
With a high angle you get a lot of roof, as if you were floating way above the car.

A lower angle would be down lower in relation to the car, and the photo would look more like you were standing next to the real car, not 20 feet tall.
