Headliner removal
My rear window washer on my 2002 Windstar is not spraying. I have verified that the pump is working, and that the rear nozzle is not clogged. I am now trying to drop the headliner to trace the line back from the lift gate to the front to find out where the clog is, but I am having trouble getting the light fixture on the passenger side over the rear seat to disengage from the overhead. I removed the screw from behind the "hanger hook." However, although the fixture and trim will pull out about a half an inch, it is still hanging up on something. I do not want to break anything. My Haynes manual does not give any information on the headliner removal. I have tried to search this forum and Google, but cannot find any directions. Does anyone have any tips for the headliner removal? Thank you in advance.

Re: Headliner removal
Never mind. I went back out and kept gently pulling and it came loose. Apparently there is a plastic clip on the housing that clips into the roof frame. Got it out, pulled the headliner down and found a connector in the line between the lift gate and the main body. Pulled the connector out of the line, and that's where my clog was, so my rear washer is back in business.
