2006 Malibu 4T45e Tranny Problems
Here are the symptoms:
Crank up engine Check engine Light On (P0753 shift solenoid) Place in Drive Traction Control Light comes on Begin to drive, it starts in 2nd Speed up and a harsher than normal 2-3 shift. Continue to speed up Can't sense shift 3-4 Place in manual shift mode and switch back and forth 3 and 4. I can just barely see the tach change maybe 100rpm I have scanned the codes, P0753 is the only thing reported I changed the Fluid and filter, it was in great shape. Only a small amount of very fine material on the magnet. I unplugged the wiring harness connector, good condition. Speed-O registers correctly. My thought is the Traction Control won't function due to no 1st gear. Since all the issues seem to have occured close to the same time and lack of trash in pan, I'm thinking electrical. I'm not sure how to trouble shoot from outside the tranny. I don't want to just throw $$ on a new computer without better info. Thanks for any help. Re: 2006 Malibu 4T45e Tranny Problems
Trac light off, comes on because the code is set.....
Definitely sounds like a shift solenoid problem, which I think slls is asking you to check.... |

Re: 2006 Malibu 4T45e Tranny Problems
Thanks slls and Tech II
I pulled the connector, but can't see the pins or their I'd. I traced back each pin to the ECM J3 connector except 2. 1 went to J1 and the other is unknown. The Trans connector has 4 rows of pins 4, 6, 6, 4 and I think the rows are verticle. With that can you describe where "A" and "E" are? Or a pinout description of the ECM. Thanks |
