Sway bar, Front

2010 Impala 3.5 L 101,500 mi

noticed the O.E. sway bar eyelets are beginning to split on the outer circumference, left side more so then the right side.
i know this is/was a problem with the Grand Prix body style but not the Impala.
Also the right side vertical control arm busshing is starting to split.

for a heads up and any input.

i carry at least 250 to 300 lbs in trunk at all times, 60% highway and 40% city driving.

i suppose by the lack of comments this condition is unique the vehicle i mentioned.

The sway bars on the GP and the Impalas are known to fail as you are describing. They are hollow. Perhaps some of the aftermarket brands are solid?
Also not unsual to have problems with the links...
