HELP Gas Tank Issues!
OK I have tired to figure this out on my own but I am not getting anywhere.
my issue is that whenever I try to fill up my gas tank it fills for about 2 seconds and then spits gas back out and bubbles. then it settles back down and I am able to fill for about 2 seconds more and it does the same thing. It takes me about 25-30 mins to fill up my tank completely and when I am done I smell like gas all day because of how much my tank spits back. Also I feel like a jackass when I am holding the line up at Costco's gas. For a dealership to even look at my car they are quoting me 150 just to analyze the situation. I am almost positive that it is my purge valve but I want to be certain before I buy any parts. Has anyone had any experience with this? Or can anyone give me any advice? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Re: HELP Gas Tank Issues!
Welcome to the forum!
I suspect you are on the correct path, thinking purge or vent solenoid. -Rod |
