0742 code with no stall
hard shift and shudder but no stalling, most threads had tcc locked on with stalling . can it be unlocking at idle but locked when shiftting

In any case, it's an internal transmission problem.....only thing you can try is a transmission flush and a new filter, hoping to unstick the solenoid/valve/check ball.....
Otherwise the side cover has to be removed, TCC solenoid(and possible harness) replaced and valve body has to be checked.....
