Thumbs up Muscle Machines 1:18th scale Acura RSX *Review w/pics*

I just recieved it in the mail today and all I can say is that I'm amazed. The detail is amazing, especially in the interior and engine bay. Even the brakes are well detailed, rotor and caliper are 2 seperate peices, caliper is 2 tone colored, and caliper is a true cross drilled rotor. The exterior is an accurate mugen body kit w/ wing, the only thing that seemed to be improvised was the widebody fenders and sides. My only real complaints about the model is the extremely low profile tires(from a distance the car looks like its sitting on bare rims), the huge "dub" size chrome rims( a bit too bling bling IMO), and the non opening rear hatch(cant get a good look at the back seat detail).

They didn't leave out a single detail with this, everything from the seatbelts to the grphics on the dash mounted tv screen were covered......

Not bad for less than 30 bucks USD. So for you import head out there, I definitely recommend this one.

I can't wait til they release the rest!!!!

R34 Skyline GT-R
S15 Sylvia
JZA80 Supra
Evo VII
FD3S RX-7

Just for reference, I got mine off of http://www.iloveracing.com

Now for the pics.....

My only problem with the car is not the rims. The model is totally out of scale! It's as big as the Dodge Ram truck from Dub (Jada Toys). Instead of 1/18, I think it's more like 1/15 or even 1/12.

Dude that's uncalled for, and you obviously don't know too much about the import scene and probably don't care to either. Despite what you may think, there isn't really anything "rice" about the car, details and sponsors on the car are for genuine and reputable companies, IMO, I think this this car was a tasteful representation of the import scene, well, with the exception of the wheels and ICE, but despite that it aslo detailed the performance details pretty accurately. IE, no rave-flyer graphics, no APC stickers.

I can understand if you are strictly into domestics, but keep that anti-import shit off of here. You do your thing, we'll do ours, it's a matter of what you fancy. No need for the hate...later.

Pat

I don't really care for Muscle Machines, they are way out of proportion. Scale is suppose to come into play when models are made. I have seen this one and many others, most of them have an inch of dust on the top of the boxes and tend to get pushed to the rear of retail shelves. Granit, some of the car is 1/18, but most of it has been "blown up." No thanks....

The reason why those trucks are smaller than the car is because it is the TRUCKS that are out of scale. They are more like 1/20, 1/21. Reason being is because the trucks simply will not fit in the standard box and making a new size box will be too much money.

The muscle machine 1/64 is out of scale though, the Civic Hatchback is HUGE!!! lol
