i want to start a legal car club/crew

i want to start a car club with my friends but i want it to be legal because of something. i ask my bf how to go about it and i am still a little lost on it. so how to do you start a legal car club/crew. what my bf told me what i can do (he already have his so i want to make my own) is to get my business license then go to department of labor to register our club as business and then open a business account have a name logo and trademark. i know there is another way just get people together and just hang and stuff but i dont want no one to try to take our name and stuff away from us so yeah. also the part where i am at a lost at with my bf telling me this is what type of business to get

maybe you mean trademark? if in my place, I had to go to the local judicial office. then registering the name or the things we keep to the original. including the name of the product or something that you will sell.
