Engine compatibility help 04 into a 02 Maxima
Hello everyone,
Recently my wife's 02 Maxima started to knock, come to find out it's a rod bearing... Now I've found a 04 Maxima that was a complete wreck in a salvage yard that runs great. My question is will the engine from the 04 work in the 02? I've read that the 4 digit of the vin has to be the same for it to work, not sure if this is true or not. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.... Wife's car is vin D and the one for sale is B.
