Hi all,
I've been trying to find out which of these three fuses controls the BLOWER MOTOR. Both my AC and Heater had been stalling for years until it finally gave up a couple of weeks ago. It stalls on Ac, defrost and all other settings. I have already replaced the BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR and the BLOWER MOTOR itself without luck. Im trying to locate Relay to see if that does the trick. Any other ideas? Thanks (see attached picture of the 3 Relays, on the passenger side, on engine wall, next to blower motor). THANKS! 1996 GMC Jimmy Last edited by 1996GMCJimmy; 09-19-2012 at 10:55 AM. Reason: forgot car information |

Re: Relays
Not sure which relay, but the wire colors to it are Purple, Black, Orange, Red and Dark Blue. Maybe that will help you locate it?

I know its been years since this post has been replied to, but I wanted to post my follow up just in case there's anybody else out there with similar issues...
...turns out that my stalling/intermittent AC/defrost,etc was due to a broken contact on the Fan Blower Motor! I was able to wiggle it and sure enough, it runs. Any little bump on the road tends to disconnect it because of the false contact it made. Replaced Fan blower motor and problem solved!!! Thanks to all of you that posted help. |
