Gauges

Im looking to get a set of autometer gauges, and i dont know if my car has electic or mechanical gauges now. I think they are mechanical but not sure. My car is a 1990 Mustang LX. Also how would i install them? Would i have to cut holes into my pod?

Thanks in Advance

The stock gauges in the interment cluster are electric gauges. You can install either mechanical or electric. You will have to get a pod for the new gauges, like a pillar pod or AC cage. What gauges do you plan on running?

I plan on running the phantom gauges. but i want them where the stock gauges are. Im going to keep the same as stock, (speedo, tach, gas, oil, water, battery) I just want them to look different. I plan on adding air/ful ratio, exhaust temp, and maybe a fuel pressure w/ a triple cage to match. Hopefully in the future a boost gauge!
