No horn
1998 winstar. Horn does not work at the steering wheel, the air bag light comes on and stays on while driving. However, when I press the alarm button, the horn will sound. I removed the air bag and put it back in, no change! Any ideas?

Re: No horn
I have the same problem and indeed it is the clock spring. Touck a ground wire to the yellow green wire on the connector below steering on a yellow pig tail coming out of steering. The horn will sound.
Now thw big question is...where to buy this part and what is the part number? PLease reply. Thanks. |

Re: No horn
Several years ago I spent ~ $800 to fix my horn switch, it's part of the air bag assembly.

Re: No horn
I had code 32 flashing on the airbag light when the clockspring went bad on mine. Horn didn't work either. I removed the unit from the column and carefully soldered the wires back together. Reinstalled and tested and everything works fine.
