02 Sentra Service Engine Light

Hello Everyone,

I have a 02 Sentra GXE with around 96,000 miles and recently I had a service engine light pop up. I checked with my mechanic and he said that the code states that there are multiple/random misfirings. The light has now gone away after a week. Since this light came up, my battery has been discharging every night. I need to jumpstart my car every morning. I tried researching this online and found that it could be a problem with the ecm and there was a recall for this problem in Sentras. Has anyone else encountered this or can they give any idea of what may be the actual problem. Will getting a tune up and replacing the coils be sufficient or is there a bigger problem?

I also had triple AAA service the battery a couple of times and they said alternator and battery are fine. The battery is about 2 years old.
