3rd time lucky getting back into the hobby! Many pics of kits! ;)

Hi guys!

Just thought i'd say hi, my name is Elliott, from the UK.

As above, this is the 3rd time ive got back into the hobby and this time its for real

I'm all tooled up (physically, not mentally!)

Heres my stash so far. Took me a week to get these along with my tools, airbrush etc etc.

I still have 66 items coming from Hong Kong consisting of wheel sets and kits. Also have a full set of Vallejo model air paints coming tomorrow along with some more tools such as storage cases etc etc. Among those bits another 4 or 5 kits are on their way too so im super excited lol!

Anyway here are the kits

Thanks guys!

The Veilside MRS has its own WIP thread on here, slowly doing that as i want it perfect

The 180sx is all in primer bar the body.

My Vallejo Model Air paints came today, 111 of them, the full range. But i actually swapped alot of the greens etc for other colours!

The 180sx will be done red i know that

Nice to see someone back.
Not my taste in cars personally, (too many boring saloons etc - now I'll start a war! LOL)
Have fun and build what YOU enjoy - ignore twits like me.
All the very best, Roy.

Haha no worries Roy.

I do love my Japanese cars!

Received another Subaru today (Now i have two lol) and a flat nose Porsche.

My paints came yesterday and also a lot of compartment storage boxes so that kept me very busy today sorting all my bits out!

Still waiting on my shipment from Hong Kong, its in the country so i should have it Monday or Tuesday.

Also have 2 MR2 (shape before the MRS), a Civic EK9 Type R and a DC2 Integra Type R.

The Impreza i got today was a steal on ebay and is half done. The body has been painted but not to my standards so that paint will be coming off. The interior and seats have been done to a great standard but I'm not that keen on the colour combo!

Any ideas on how to de construct models that have already been glued together without wrecking them ?

Thanks guys!

That's a huge collection man! I'm a JDM freak as well.. lol. My next kit will be either a 300zx or 3000GT or both. I wanted to go for the JZX100 Chaser or the JZX90 Mark II Tourer V but I couldn't find a single one that comes with the engine and all.

Thanks bro, none of the Chaser kits comes with an engine, so you may have to butcher a Tamiya Supra and stick a 2JZ in one or another engine from another kit. I got myself a 300ZX in the post yesterday, AMAZING looking kit. Can't wait to get building it. If you click the link in my sig there LOADS of unboxing reviews I've done on Youtube and WIP videos

Oh yes, Nissan fan through and through. I can appreciate any sort of car though I have such a wide taste which keeps things fresh when it comes to picking a kit to build!

I have lots more Nissan kits since I posted this topic :P

Tamiya Skyline Hardtop for Xmas from my partner, but she won't let me have it! She's also got me the Aoshima GT-R Pure Edition too! PLUS! She likes building models too now, what a catch!

Re: 3rd time lucky getting back into the hobby! Many pics of kits! ;)

I ant a stranger to modelling as I been building scifi stuff for 2-3 years now.

Just got into automotive due to an online competition and I did 3 scifi models in 1 class then decided to try and blow away the competition in another class by building a f1 2000 and use top studio detail up kit.been a challenge as I never built a car before, I dont remember doing one even as a kid.so challenging build but I got a car stash now lol.

And more on the way.

Aint even particulary into cars, I just love the fact they aint all hollow and have engines that can be wired up etc and all the gubbins, thats what I find challenging and interesting.also learning to polish the body work is a challenge and something that takes time to learn also.

I'm tooling up for a run at this modelling thing as well. But this will be my first tour through it. I'm also a huge Nissan fan. I am especially looking forward to you cracking open that FC3S and 180SX since I have 1:1's of their USDM cousins.
