97 2.2 cant get oil pan off
i trying to work get getting timing chain cover off
1 how can you get the oil pan off without having to take off the lower engine bracket off? i can see u need to remove starter to get bolts from behind that but reason asking is the 2 bolts that hold the lower engine holder there by the transaxle the lower one the head is rounded off from me trying to get socket and air gun on it cuz the brake lines off the strut are in the way, so how the hell do i get that bolt out or what other options do i have |

Re: 97 2.2 cant get oil pan off
You have figured out that the pan uses sealer and not a gasket, they can be tough to get off. I have found that a long gasket scraper with a sharp edge comes in handy to get between the block and the oil pan. Just takes some work and time!
