03 sedona - strange A/C symtoms
A/C not cooling right. Correct low pressure, but don't have high pressure gauges. Both radiator fans are working.
Air temp coming out at about 60 degrees, but sometimes does cool to upper 40s. Sometimes warmer than 60. Here is the strange part -- when I turn off the rear fan, the front temp rises. When I turn the rear fan back on, the front begins to cool again. the compressor keeps running. I have noticed that the large refrigerant lines do not have condensation on them, but I am getting condensation out of the front and rear drains. Anybody have this kind of problem before? |

Re: 03 sedona - strange A/C symtoms
when you hold the low side line going into the evaporator at the firewall it should be very cold with the a/c on. if not maybe you need a top off of freon

That was the first thing I checked, and I added freon, but it didn't help. :-)

Re: 03 sedona - strange A/C symtoms
no, the line is not cold or sweating.
The other day, I added refrigerant until the pressure relief valve opened, and it still wasn't cold. I relieved some of the refrigerant, to get the pressure back down. That is when I got it to cool somewhat. |
