1/24 AMG Mercedes C-Klasse DTM 2009 "Spengler"

Hi guys,

I finally finished another model. It's the Revell Mercedes DTM 2009 "Spengler". The kit(Schumacher Version) is build OOB, besides some replacement decal set from Reji to make the Spengler car. I also added some CF accents and that's it. Because the car is an AMG version, i used Zero Paints Mercedes GP Petronas Silver. I think this is the closest match IMHO. To seal the Zero Paints i used Halfords clear. Then placed the decals and finished it with some Mr. Topcoat semi gloss clear from Gunze. I did not polish it, because i didn't think it was needed. I'm pretty happy with the result, because silver is one of most difficult colors to spray. The fit of the kit is pretty good, but still no Tamiya quality. It looks great Lesley! You did a great job with the paint and CF! I struggle with the CF trim on these cars.

Really nice job Lesley - I've always liked these DTM cars even though I don't have any - we don't get much of the Revell Germany kits over here. I've always wanted to ask - are they a good kit worth the price? They sell for about $35 usd here if you find them. - John

Hi John,

Thanks for the nice comment. About the kit. With some prep work on the hood, they go well together. They are worth the money in my opinion. I'm putting one for sale actually with the 2010 schumacher decal set for 35 euro. PM me if you are interested.
