oil light
I have a 95 plymouth neon and the oil light started coming on when I brake. It has been less then 3 months for an oil change and I do alot of in town driving. I checked the oil level and it appears to be fine. Anybody have this issue before?

Re: oil light
Check the oil sending unit and/or the brake switch. They may be dirty/oily causing it to trigger the light.

Re: oil light
would taking my car in for an oil change help and would they be able to check that at an oil change? Also how do you know if the part needs to be replaced and how long can I drive it under these conditions? Thanks for any helpful information

Re: oil light
Could be a bad oil pressure switch, couldn't hurt to change oil and filter at the same time.
Try changing oil and oil filter, then replace the oil pressure switch. That would be worth a try to fix the problem. |
