Flea Market Finds

I just gotta say...i Love flea markets.
Revell Ferrari 360 Spider

I Paid $5.....And the whole kit is still in plastic, even the decals and mesh!!! I couldn't pass it up.
Second I came across this:

I Paid $10 for this one. Both I think are going to be OOB builds, nothing fancy. I did notice the decal sheet has started to yellow, will they still work? I have never seen the mustang kit before and i am a bit weary if it is worth anything. Anyone have any info on either kits? Good kits? Bad kits? Thanks.

Re: Flea Market Finds

You should be able to place the decals in the windowsill under direct sunlight for a day or two and that should get rid of the yellowing. Those are some great finds. That Mustang kit is really a decent kit if you take your time with it.

360 is meh..It works but no Tamiya, the Mustang is an awsome kit. My parts are a little warped, but still. Great finds at price man!

+1 on direct sunlight. and if you are really a bit iffy with the condition of the decals, i know micromark has a decal film (liquid) that you can apply on the sheet to strengthen them.

and those are great flea market finds!

Re: Flea Market Finds

day 2, different city. This is what I got...I Love it.
AMT Diablo Aero from 1991. $5 Missing instructions but every model is pretty much the same except paint call-outs. Everything else is still in bags!!

Monogram 86 Monte Carlo from 1986. $15 written on box, asked what he wanted and he said 5$...SOLD!!! Missing.....nothing. Everything still in the bag....

All I have to say is.....I am going to have a difficult decision when im done with my subaru. 4 old and exciting kits.

Re: Flea Market Finds

Great finds; that is the original issue of the Monte Carlo SS. Those optional wheels weren't in subsequent releases of the kit. Plus it doesn't have the nasty mold line across the trunk where they reverted the Aeroback SS back into the notchback.
