2004 Trailblazer Odometer and DIC won't light

I have a 2004 Trailblazer. The odometer and DIC won't light. I pulled the cluster and check all solder connections. (I'm pretty good with that stuff)
I flexed the board.. tugged, pulled and tapped... Nothing...
Will anybody help me?

Re: 2004 Trailblazer Odometer and DIC won't light

I have heard--but not experienced--that Trailblazer clusters are prone to problems.

Seems to me that Dorman is big into selling "rebuilt" clusters, although Dorman quality leaves a lot to be desired--pretty much their entire product line is bought-in from Communist China. (I don't know where the clusters are repaired)

I know that repair instructions are on the internet for the electronic cluster found in late-80's, early 90's Toronados/Rivieras, perhaps repair instructions are also available for Trailblazer. Never looked.

This all assumes that the wiring and body computer are intact and functioning--the problem is in the cluster and not elsewhere in the vehicle.

Ten trillion to start with, increasing as needed from there, PLUS compensation for the sickened, and "wrongful death" settlements for the families of those who didn't survive. END trade with Communist China.
