High pitch squeel then died

I have a 93 sl1, about a week ago it made a high pitch squealing noise for a few seconds before the car died. after that it would not start. I checked all the pulleys, they were fine. any ideas?

Re: High pitch squeel then died

Does the engine still turn over?
Have you checked the oil lately?
Was any oil on the dipstick if you did check the oil?

If the answer to all three of these questions is "no", then the engine is most likely seized and will require a complete rebuild or replacement.

These cars are known to burn oil so there is a good chance this has occurred if you don't regularly check and replenish your oil as necessary.
