Oil reset is pissing me off. Won't go out.
The proc I used to use was:
KOEO, Press accelerator pedal 3 full times (down,up down, up, down, up) within 5 seconds. Key off, then start the car. This worked for all oil changs before about the first 75k miles of the ca'rs life, since that time, I have tried hundreds of times. I just gave up. I am going to be selling the car soon and I would prefer to have the light off. Any more tricks for this? Thanks. Paul../NH |

That's the usual method......make sure you are going all the way to the floor(carpet not under accel pedal).....some Chevy's also do it through the radio.....check the owner's manual....

On mine if you press the trip odometer selector on the gaugecluster till it gets to where it says the oil health left. then press and hold for about 10 seconds and it always has reset mine using that method. I have a 2001 venture.
