2003 Century Turn Signal Issue

Greetings all,

My wife's car has an issue with the right turn signal. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes the right rear does not work, and the dash indicator flashes rapidly. The bulb has been replaced, along with the front right for good measure. The problem still exists. Most times, it begins to flash rapidly on the dash, the suddenly begins to work properly. I have picked up a new flasher for under the dash, but I am not sure if that will solve the problem. I was wondering if it might be the multi-function lever (Turn signal, wiper, cruise, etc.) Each time a right turn is signaled however, the flasher and the dashboard light DO come on, even if it is incorrect. Would that not mean that the lever itself is ok? What else could it possibly be? I have played with the wires trying to break an intermittent contact when it is working correctly, but have not been able to do so.

Any and all advice is needed and welcome!

They are not to bad to swap out.
have never done an 05 but it might be the same as 03.

But most likely your assembly.

Other things possible are the switch on head lights if you have that?

Cheers

Re: 2003 Century Turn Signal Issue

My 2001 Century was having intermittent issues with the rear lights, signals brake etc. What I found was sum of the sockets were making poor contact with the bulbs. So I took a very small flat screwdriver and bent the contacts closer together and everything cleared up.Hope this helps.
