Heat from A/C vents

2007 Palm Beach, (yeah, I didn't know they made them either) really a Grand Marquee with white leather. Went to grocery store today, A/C worked fine, came out of store and started car, A/C was blowing hot air "as in heater hot air" in all positions.

Came home and got on this fourm, ran the A/C self test and got code :

025 Intermittent fault in blend door calibration

What do I do now ????

As always Thanks for your help, and Thanks to prmars for the self test directions.

Re: Heat from A/C vents

I ran this test, posted by prmars:

Perform a self diagnostic of the EATC and see if it gives you an error code:

With the on and engine running: Press OFF and FLOOR simultaneously, then press AUTOMATIC within 2 seconds. The EATC will begin the self-test. It may take up to 30 seconds. Soon it may display some codes. Write these down. To exit self test press DEF

EATC System self test error code list

024 Fault in blend door calibration during self test

025 Intermittent fault in blend door calibration,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ( I got this code)

030 Self test indicates automatic temperature control sensor shorted

031 Self test indicates automatic temperature control sensor open

040 Self test indicates ambient sensor short

041 Self test indicates ambient sensor open

042 Ambient sensor intermittent short

043 Ambient sensor intermittent open

050 Self test indicates sunload sensor short

052 Sunload sensor intermittent short

115 Intermittent engine coolant temperature signal

125 Intermittent vehicle speed signal...

After running this self test, I came in and checked my computer for what to do next. A couple of guys said that many times the self test would cure the problem.
I went back out and started my car, the A/C was working again. Don't know if this is a permament cure or just temporary, but it works great at the moment.

Re: Heat from A/C vents

My self test healing lasted about 20 miles the first time, then 1-3 minutes on subsequent test.

I have an appointment with a private shop to repair. His estimate $250.00 parts and labor.

Codes were 024 and 025

Re: Heat from A/C vents

Got car repaired today, "Replaced Temp ACT" $225.00 at private shop.

Still don't know what a Temp ACT is, but I have cold air.
