first time user, found this site searching the net. i do have a question about my '96 grand am with the 2.4 twin cam emgine, my son drove the car without enough oil in the engine, it was replaced with an other 2.4 from a 2000 cavalier, but of course gm had to make things hard by changing the type of knock sensor(s) the engine uses in '96 and 2000, so now my check engine stays lit, is there a way to make the play nice, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Knock Sensor
Did you try using the knock sensor from the 96 in the 2000? will it fit? What codes are you getting? signed, always stuck in diagnostics!
