Question Mountaineer 2000 shaking.

Last Sunday problems began with a code 344 after replaced the CAM sensor it's star but the engine is shaking a lot and hard, no DTC stored. I have not checked the spark plugs but gas pressure is OK.

Re: Mountaineer 2000 shaking.

Was the engine running rough before you changed the camshaft position (CMP) sensor, or only afterwards? Which engine does your Mountaineer have? Please double-check and repost the complete diagnostic code which should be in the form P0123. I don't find a P0344 for a 2000 Mountaineer listed in the factory service manual.

Re: Mountaineer 2000 shaking.

well, One day before it was running ok, Sunday moment after starting it began to shake and the engine light came on, replace the can sensor and it continues shaking, I have checked gas pressure , compression, spark everywhere, replace spark plugs, I haven't checked the injectors, no vacuum leak detected, press the pedal gas and the car barely runs in driving condition. no engine light .The code 1000 that said not all the codes have been red is in the scanner. thank you for help.
