Question lumina new brake line and bleed

I installed new brake lines in a 98 lumi
na due to a burst line. In the process, the master cyl went dry. I cant get the master cyl to catch - the pedal goes to the floor with very little resistance when pumping. Anyone know the best way to tackle this without taking off the master cyl? would a vucume pump on each line at the wheel work while pumping the brake - or is there a better way. Thanks

Re: lumina new brake line and bleed

First off...don't bottom out the master cyl when pumping, you'll wreck it. Never hit the bottom when bleeding them.

Try a gravity bleed...take the bleeder screws out of all the calipers and wheel cyls, leave the cap off the master and keep filling it. You can pump the brake a few short strokes to get fluid moving. Then just wait for it to start pouring out the bleed holes, replace the screws and tighten as fluid begins to pour from them.

Once you get good fluid at each and have it closed up, bleed normally, in the correct split-diagonal pattern.

...empty gun rack.
