Revell 560SEC Premium - are they all bad?

This car has a special place in my heart, so I'd love to make a few of these. The Revell Premium is really the only option. The last one I made the body was really really warped. Things did not fit well together. Are they all like that, or did I get a fluke?

I wish someone made a W126 sedan model...

Re: Revell 560SEC Premium - are they all bad?

I too wish they made a W126 sedan. I had the Revell 560SEC, but sold it because I didn't think the body shape was spot on, and the wheels/tires suck, so I don't know about the fit. The Tamiya 500SEC fits superbly and is more accurately shaped, but it lacks the detail of the Revell. You could kit bash. Or instead of kit bashing, put the wheels from the Tamiya 500SL on the Revell kit, using different tires (Tamiya Lexus LS400 tires fit well and look right, but you'll have to narrow the wide 500SL wheels down a bit to fit the tires).

Hmmm, that's what keeps me from buying the Tamiya - the wheels. Does the Tamiya have a detailed engine bay?

It has a nicely detailed engine, but the engine bay itself is pretty sparse. You can easily switch the wheels - I did.

Re: Revell 560SEC Premium - are they all bad?

Well all Revell 560SEC kits are warped and bad fitting. I have several different issues - the symptoms are the same.

And I have kinda W126 saloon transkit which I should finally finish
