Exclamation Help Needed

I have a 2000 Buick Century that I cannot get to start. While my wife was driving home it started to sputter (like running out of gas) and did a little back firing. She made it home and I put in some gas (Just to make sure) and the care cranks over but will not start. I have replaced the fuel filter, checked the spark plugs and replaced the CAM Sensor. The car still will not start. Anyone with this experience that could give some much needed advice?

Re: Help Needed

Spark on all cylinders?

Check fuel pressure?

Will it start if you spray carb cleaner into the intake?

Yes there is spark and it will start if you use carb cleaner but will not stay on and backfires. I will be checking the fuel pressure next. do oyou think maybe timing chain or fuel pump?

Re: Help Needed

Check fuel pressure with a gage...

Disconnect the fuel injector harness and spray carb cleaner into intake....if it runs as long as you spray, then it's a fuel delivery problem....if it backfires, do a compression check....

You have spark on ALL cylinders? If yes, how long those plugs been in there?

Welcome to AF. 2 comments here, this is an old inactive thread, also the cps would not be the issue as the car had spark, which eliminates the cps as an issue.
