94 PA widndshield- glue in?
My old friend needs a windshield and no insurance to cover it (existing damage when I changed ins companies) I was wondering if this is the old-fashioned 'tar strip' sealer or one of the new glue-in types? Going to get someone else to do it- I'm batting 50% with windshield replacements- I just want to be sure it's done right, hence the question.
Thanks in advance! Phil |

Re: 94 PA widndshield- glue in?
Its a Poly Urethane Adhesive and has to be glued in... In some cases if there is still glue on the body and the windshield you might be able to get away with gluing it in, But I would really recommend a pro do this...
By the time you paid for the activator, primer and the glue and used windshield you may have been able to pay for a new wind shield installed... Just my .02 |

Do some pricing around. There's a big difference between installers. Be sure to tell them it's a self-pay job and that it's not an emergency and can fit in for convenience.
My neighbor went through a self-pay replacement a few months back. |
