I need to get this out of my system

I used the engine out of my tamiya R32 skyline kit for my silvia... so today on my way to work I called tamiya to order the parts trees I used parts off of so I can complete the skyline eventually.

2 parts trees + shipping came to $15.40 and I gave the guy my credit card # and ordered the stuff and was done with it, it's on its way and my card has already been charged.

so than I began to think (cause I certainly wasn't thinking at the time)

I could have gone to the hobby shop spent $18 and had the whole kit in hand. so basically for 3 dollars more I could have spair parts left over including the whole body etc... AND not have to wait for it to be shipped and be there to accept the pkg or go and pick it up from UPS.

I am pissed man.

That's the beauty of hindsight. It'll be ok, trust me. I live my life through hindsight:sun:

As a bonus with your order from Tamiya, you will receive an authentic yellow shipping label complete with the Tamiya Logo in full color.

J/K...I think we have all jumped the gun on purchases, I know I have. I bought tons of "crap" at a hobby show a few weeks back.

BTW- Tamiya used FedEx to deliver my parts last week, delivered on Sat. to boot!

You guys are lucky you can get something from your Tamiya distributor. The one here in Australia is pretty tight and will put you through the grill and in my case where I just wanted a replacement for a misformed part they wanted the whole parts tree sent to them first as proof before they would send the replacement part. I eventually got it 6 weeks later.
Buy something off them you are joking!
If you have a good retailer to deal with here you may be able to get them to swap the parts over if damaged quicker and then they get a credit on the whole thing. I know thats what we used to do where I worked but buying individual parts - forget it they wont do it.

They also send you an official Tamiya envelope with your invoice in it! It's pretty cool I saved mine :o
