96 Windstar Injectors

Hi all. This is my first post here but have I been lurking for quite a while and have gained allot of good advice about my Windstar. Thanks for that.

I am dealing with a P0302 code and while removing the injector from the fuel rail I lost one of the rubber "O" rings. Well don't ya know the dam thing went right down the lower intake manifold. I could see it sitting there, near the butterfly valve, but before I could retrieve it it slipped down and out of sight.

I've never had this happen before. Do I need to go further and retrieve it or can I just leave it in there? Will it do any damage?

Re: 96 Windstar Injectors

If you cannot find it....I would leave it.
Removal of the lower intake manifold is a lot of work.
You can buy new injector "O" rings......
Also....a small amount of motor oil will make the new "O" ring slide in easier.
