2004 Malibu classic blinker issue.
Hello all. Like the title says my '04 Classic is having issues with the turn signal.
It is working sporadically. Sometimes it works fine but other times it will just up and stop working. The fuse is fine. I was thinking the the multi-function switch was starting to go south, since the fuse hasn't popped and the turn-signal is working sporadically. Any input would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance for any input. |

Re: 2004 Malibu classic blinker issue.
Not sure if this pertains to your year.....
Lot of problems with Grand Am's, early 2000 and up models.... No directionals.......turn direction lever to off position.....now press the hazard switch.....if they work, turn hazards off...now try directionals.....if they work, need hazard switch.....Grand Am's had a recall for the hazard switch......possible the Malibu's did too......can call local Chevy dealer with the last 8 numbers of your VIN, to see if there is a recall for your vehicle for this problem....they can see if there are any open recalls for your car.... Or maybe Sarah can help..... |

Re: 2004 Malibu classic blinker issue.
My '04 Classic did the same thing, and it was the relay. When I checked, the recall did not include my car. The relay is built in the hazard switch in the dash and is not that difficult to replace. I believe the part is a dealer only item. There is a post started by me that has instructions for replacing the hazard switch.
