1997 golf will not start

i was having problems with my 1997 golf starting in wet weather so i changed out the ignition coil distributer cap wires and plugs. it ran good for about 3 weeks and then coming home in slow traffic one day it dies and wont start . everythings new in the ignition system so i have a feeling it may have somthing to do with an inhibitor. any ideas what i should try next?
