Which team will be the best of the rest...

Ferrari, McLaren, and Williams seem to be running on a level above the rest the field. When the 2003 season is over, who do you think be the best of the rest of the teams?

I don't like those "best of the rest" notions. Seems to change not only yearly, but also but sometimes from race to race. We have two/three/four teams as the best (take your pick!) and the rest are the rest.

But to answer your question, I think Renault will be a team to finish in the top 4, and I'm not even positive it will finish 4th. Maybe 3rd, in front of Williams. But, of course, all of this is just speculation.

Renault should be the odds on favorite to get fourth in 2003 standings. I am still pulling for Jaguar. I am still waiting for Toyota to take off. They have been so successful in other race series, that I expect they will going toe to toe with Ferrari and gang soon. I think 2004 maybe the year they win a race or two.

I knwo this all speculation. My hope is at least two more teams will become strong players so that races get better. Just having few car dominate each race gets kind of old. If Renault, Jaguar, Toyota join Ferrari, McLaren, and Williams up front, F-1 racing could gain more viewers.

Best of the rest this year is Renault.
BAR and Jag are the two poorest excuses for F1 teams that have hit the track in a long time. Look up poor decision making in the dictionary and a Jag team pic will be there. What good is it doing Jag to be in F1 anyway, they should be at LeMans capitalizing on Porsche not being there. Stewart see's the ship sinking so he jumps off, they abuse Rahal til he leaves, hire that idiot Lauda and piss Irvine off. Every move they make could be in a text book titled "How not to succeed in F1".

I'm beginning to think BAR is like Jordan, the money is going to other places besides car developement.

Jordan and Sauber are consistant right where they're at, no one expects them to suddenly be a front runner.

Toyota will get there eventually, the jury is still out on whether they have capable management in place for rapid advancement at the present time.

I bet you a billion they won’t, unless all teams except minardi pull out of F1, and even then they may not finish ahead of them. With their budget they’ve been pretty damn poor this season.

As for whos best of the rest, Renault without a doubt.
