RB20DET conversion
Hey does the RB20DET fit in the VL commodore. are all the engine and transmission mounts the same or would i have to fabricate new ones and do you reackon this would be a good idea or should i just buy a RB30DET because that is made for it?

I do believe they slot right in. I know the only differences in the gearboxes is the turbo boxes for the RB20DET had a lot more ribbing to prevent flexing. The 3 litre VL box is a direct drop in replacement on the R32 so I would tend to suspect there is virtually no difference on the backs of the motors. Also the mounts should be the same.
