Movie cars make popular diecast models
Cars in the movies and on television have developed their own following, just as the actors who drove them.
In many cases the designers have recieved no credit and no one knows who they are. The cars however are sought after by collectors. Some movie and television cars were: Ghostbusters ecto 1 The Black Beauty The munster coach Back to the Future Delorian Christine SuperCar The monkey mobile Herbie the love bug Speed Racer The 1948 TUCKER The Batmobile An obscure one was only known as "The Car" One company produced a limited amount of them in 2003 almost twenty years after the movie by the same name "The Car". It is among the rarest of all movie cars to posses. One will still pop up on ebay from time to time It was a genious of designed by the same man who designed the 1966 TV Batmobile; George Barris http://www.ibc34.com/DCHISTORY.html |

Quote:
A lot of these cars are well known who built them. It just involves a little searching if you don't know offhand. Example: Dean Jeffries built the Monkeemobile, and Black Beauty (original TV series). He did a lot more than that, too, but he isn't as widely known as he should be. I highly recommend reading up on this guy. He did a lot in this industry.
