01 sunfire starter change

i had my 01 sunfire up on jacks and was ready to replace my starter. as soon as i got under it there was a sway bar or some sort of bar directly below the bolt that holds the starter in place. can i remove this bar? is there a tool other than a wrench to get this bolt out with out removing the bar? too cheap to buy a haynes manual. please help. hate push starting this car in the heat, lol.

Re: 01 sunfire starter change

Assuming you have the 2.2l, the manual shows nothing about removing the sway bar. You may need a different tool, or you may need to loosten the sway bar to use what you have.
