Age old question...Dino or Synthetic?

Just purchased a 2011 Silverado Ex-Cab LT 5.3
I know the oil will be 5w/30 but with 13,000 miles and no contact with the previous owner. Ya'll think Dino or Syn would be best?

with the use of alcohol in the fuel using synthetic is recommended even on older vehicles.

I believe the vehicle you now have the oem spec is synthetic 5-30wt or 10-30wt.


using synthetic you should get 8,ooomi on the oil change. replace the oil filter at 4,000mi. some go 15,000mi with the high end synthetic mobil oil.
