1996 Engine Swap
Greetings all,
I have a question concerning an engine swap in a 1996 Eclipse. He has a 1996Eclipse spyder convertible with a 2.4L 5 speed and the tranny is messing up. We have found a 1996 Eclipse hard top with a 2.0L (blown motor) but with a good 5 speed tranny. Can the 2.4 engine be put in the hardtop using the hardtop tranny without modification. I have confidence in the regulars on this forum and I know nothing about Mitsubishi's, which is now apparent LOL. Thanks in advance for any help. Thanks, Rick

Is the donor car turbo or non (420a)?

It would probobly work .But its going to be a lot slower then the orig. Any autoparts store will tell you if it will bolt on
