Re: delco car stereo codes
unfortunately, unless someone here in the chevy forums has access to dealer codes, the only way is to go to the dealer and shell out a bunch of money.

Re: delco car stereo codes
There are only 2 options your local dealer $120 to $150.00
or this company that will unlock over the phone for $20.00 800-727-1416 they unlock delco radios 1994 to 2002 only the new delco radios 2003 and up don't have locks but they hold the vehicle vin number and compare that to the BCM when the ignition is turn on |

Re: delco car stereo codes
If your radio displays the word LOC, you can retrieve a set of factory numbers in the radio that enable you to get a backup unlock code. If the radio says INOP, you will have to leave the key in the "ON" position, or let the car run for at least 1 hour before you attempt any unlock procedure. INOP means a secondary theft lock due to too many false attempts to unlock the radio.

Re: delco car stereo codes
I guess the question is, why does GM put this stuff on their radios ? Not like anyone really wants them.
