1/24 tamiya mini converted to van

hello, this is my first post on here, and i thought i would show this to you allmy plan is to take this

and end up with somethin like this

thanks guys,
bit more for you, the front subframe has a guard on it whitch is ok for rally/sport build,

so off it came

now when you look at the two cars i think it looks much better

also been painting some other bits up ready

Oh this is great! Going to watch for sure. How much have you extended the wheelbase?

thanks don, i think this this is the only van ever done?? theres pick ups and covertables, but i have never seen a van (model you make) and being a fan of minis and owning many 1.1 versions, i had to do one.

here are the measurements i used,i extended the chassis by 7mm


and the roof line measures 7cm

ok update time
chopped the rest of the roof up


used the body locater part out of the rear valence to hold the floorpan in place, so it will be able to come apart easy like the tamiya mini does

also by using different bits of plastic card and strip i have taken it from this

to this with the first lot of filler on,still a long way to go

this is a big learning curve for me as i have never attempted such a big mod
should be interesting
bit more done, cannot leave it alone at the moment started building the rear and cut a rear panel out



but the panel lines didnt look as deep as they should, so i made some doors to go over the top and started to sort the roof.

i have looked for a van shell for like a million years ,lol, as i am a mini fan and have had about five vans,
but never found one in 1/24 model form, who makes it?
im so far into this i gotto see it to the end.
