Hello, if you want to save on scratchbuilding I can only recommend you the Engine TK by ModelingMaster !
But I suppose building the engine is your challenge and purpose on this build !

One thing that you can do is to remove the internal ring of the rims, because they are bigger than the tyre.
Apart of it, congratulations!! I did the same (the engine) in my Corolla and my Focus, and it was a very great decision!!

Re: Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII Wrc 1/24 Tamiya

Thanks CorruptSapphire and M1CRO !

Primed (white primer) , bottom area painted white

Masked bottom area, it is white on wrc. Kit includes waterslide decalt for that but result wont stay that good with them

And 17min later, Zero bright red

On coat of clear, can start decal work when its dry

And allways something goes wrong, some fu*?ing mosquito staied front of my airbrush and spitted on clear. Fast removed most of him but some stayed on. :x

Nice clean build there! Too bad that what happened with the bloody insect , especially as the paintjob looks very nice without that mosquito.
Did you managed to polish the surface better or did you repainted the trunk?

BTW, were you at Minimaailm 2012?

Re: Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII Wrc 1/24 Tamiya

nice going! too bad about the insect though, real inconvenient. i thought you'd make use of some of the engine detailing from the black piece that glues onto the underside of the hood vents.
