2009 Allure/Lacrosse console light

I have an issue with the light that should light up the Gear shifter controls for Drive, reverse, 1, 2, 3. My problem is that it doesn't light up anymore.

What should I look for or where should I look to fix this?

I don't think it is a fuse because all the dash board lights work so I assume this is localized to just the shifter lights.

Re: 2009 Allure/Lacrosse console light

Several possibilities....one, naturally, a bad bulb......two, the socket that holds the bulb in place, may have fallen out, and is laying in the bottom of the console.....third, due to flexing, one of the wires going to the socket may have broken......you have to take the top of the console off, to check these three things out....
