'57 Chevy Bel Air

This was a quick, one week build I did with my 7 year old. He's often asks if he could help me when he sees me building a kit, so I thought a snaptite kit would be something he could get involved with. He picked out this Revell kit (mainly cos he thought the flames were cool ).

He had creative control (ie, he chose the colors) and was in charge of assembly and laying down the stickers. I did the painting and trim. Color is Tamiya TS8 (Italian Red) and BMF for the trim.

This is the first snaptite kit for me and I must confess, I really did enjoy it. There might be a few more making it into my stash!

Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.

Re: '57 Chevy Bel Air

I absolutely cherish the 3 models my son and I built together. He has absolutely no interest in it now. In fact, he claims that it's childish and nerdy. so I get to hold on to the 3 models that we did get to build together. He'll want them back some day, I hope.

Nice father & son project.

(Hope I'm not being sexist - mother & son?)
