Am i paying too much for insurance?

It all comes down to where you live and what kind of car you are driving as a younger person. $4000 a year at 18 doesn't sound unreasonable. I started driving at 16 and i was paying over 5k/year. And that was with a 1995 4 door Olds with no tickets or accidents. It never hurts top price shop when it comes to insurance though. Just make sure you have the options you want to be covered for.

well its a 2005 mercedes so they said they would keep raising it on me if i got new one they said they would make me 8k a year

That seems a little high to me even though you are young and driving a pretty nice car. I'd recommend talking to an insurance broker that can shop numerous insurance providers for the best rate for you. TWG Insurance @ (214) 838-5500 should be a good start.
